Bass Tourny

I live in Alpine where we have a private lake just epic bass fishery. We had our annual member/guest tourny on Saturday.

Winner of the Adult division had a three fish aggregate weight of almost 17 lbs with the biggest fish 7-13 that stringer was good for

Winner of the Junior division had a three fish aggregate weight of almost 13 lbs with the biggest fish being a 5-7. That was won by my 13 year old son

At any rate we had a blast with a great BBQ afterwards!

Re: Bass Tourny

I don't know how Phil did. That fish that was caught with two minutes to spare was a dandy! I went down there yesterday afternoon to see if my cooler was still around (forgot it after the BBQ) there were THREE guys fishing right there! Cracked me up!

Re: Bass Tourny

I guy named Matt on a 21ft Triton (w/ partner) won the tourney right? I talked to him that night at a party and he mentioned that the bite was epic on an extra special custom top-water bait.

Re: Bass Tourny

I don't remember the guy's name who won, but he was in what looked like a Jon boat and caught the winning fish with two minutes to go. That lake has been off the hook. My son and I have caught so far this year several over six and at least two dozen over five and countless over four.

This is the best year I can remember for the bigger fish. Usually we only get maybe a dozen total over 5.

There was a guy who was throwing a "broken back" bait, not sure what it looked like or if it was surface or... At any rate it was a fantastic day.
