Headed up to lake Miramar around 11:30 with my dad and 2 buddies. Tried powerbait for the first hour with no luck but switched to mini jigs after my dad landed a fatty first cast. Caught 3 more that way with several more farmed. One of the lips on one of the mini-jigs broke off and we only had 2 so my dad decided to take one for the team and sit out for a while and watch the us fish. After some smack talking, he carolina rigged a worm and 2nd cast landed a fatass trout but proceded to have it slip away while trying to put it on the stringer. Ended up with 3 quality trout and had a nice day fishing with my buds and close friends and a BD who was one of the funniest guys I've ever met. Sorry I forgot your name but anyways
