miramar 3/6

well i found out they stocked 4700lbs of trout. they were so concentrated by the boat dock that i cannot remember how many i hooked into. it was wide motherfucking open, they were mostly biting the surface iron, yo-yo iron, and bottom bouncing iron. i actually got tired of catching trout in less than a couple hours.

my favorite setup to use today was a 1/4 oz megabait and 6lb test, they have no chance in fighting against it.

Re: miramar 3/6

i couldn't leave the trout, but i did hear of bass being caught on plastics by the boat dock and mo's hole. i read one of Rza007's reports with him and his buddies rippin on bass with crawdad's at mo's hole.

Re: miramar 3/6

Effective March 7th, Miramar's launch ramp will be closed due to low water level. The ramp will be closed at least 2-3 weeks.
Miramar is open to fishing and boating on a Saturday through Tuesday schedule. The picnic area, and perimeter road are open seven days a week. Lake hours on all days are sunrise to sunset.
Miramar will be stocked with rainbow trout beginning the week of March 5th, the first stocking will be 4,700 lbs.

Sucks!!!!!!

Re: miramar 3/6

F*CKING Crazy????? The lake's been dead for a while. I wonder why the city got the wild hair up it's ass and decided to stock the lake.... it needed it.

Went this morning to "take a look"....

Water is crystal clear... saw 2 legal bass and a small school of trout by the boat dock.

For those throwing trout baits for bass... It's a real tough bite at this lake, but I was boiled on... once

Re: miramar 3/6

Closed to fishing and boating wed-fri.
The lake is low. You couldn't launch a boat if you wanted to. The launch has got a 3' drop at the end. Saw some nice size trout while I was there today.

I found out how to attract them.

SHIT that figures. When I went a few weeks ago NO fish and NO plans to stock it and the water was HIGH and PERFECT. NOW they stock it and let out all of the Water.

I guess that CLASS action lawsuit the Water department lost to us ( did you get your notice in your bill too? ) has cause a Brain Drain.

Gonna go troll that sucker for some dinner.

Re: miramar 3/6

It's low by 5-10 ft. The YAK would work perfect. The lake fishes better at a lower water level.

4700 is a lot of trout. Stocked to get something going at this lake again. It can be a good bass lake, the bass just need food.

And for people to C/R them... Last year I saw a few big bass 5-7lbs and a few full stringers taken home.
