Got one last trip up to the sierras for the year over the weekend. Left on friday the 13th and that feeling set the tone for the trip. We were picking up my dads buddies trailer in bishop to take up the hill, and about three hours out of town he realized he left the keys at home. oh well, we macguyvered our way into the trailer and got up to the campsite. it was cold and varied from light snow to rain the rest of the day. Caught a few good sized stockers out of the creek and then hit south lake for wide open action on little guys.

Got back to camp just as the rain started to pour and shortly started dumping snow. By the morning the rain/snow had made everything messy and i decided not to go float tubing that morning.

Headed up to Parcher's and fished the creek for a few including this bright-colored brown.

Up at South Lake it had snowed about a foot and it was pretty cold.

Went and fished the creek by Sabrina and it was wide open for a few hours.

Headed back to camp for dinner and hoped tomorrow would be nicer to us. Woke up to beautiful blue skies and it was a lot warmer, around 60. Fished a little around the campground for some small rainbows and packed it up for the trip home.

This is when thing got interesting. One of the tires looked really bad on the trailer so we switched it with the spare before we left. about 10 miles south of the 14 & 395 junction we had a blowout. Three hours later we had two new tires and i had polished of a bottle of maneschewitz and a couple ceegars.

Back on the road until another blowout stopped us in Burbank, and we threw on the bad looking tire we had left and crawled the rest of the way home. It only took us about 10 hours to get from Bishop to Orange County!
