Stripers on LHC

Been working in PHX and ducking to house in Havasu for weekends. When wind is down, rattle traps and topwater lures have been working early. Bait on bottom after that. On Sunday morning I did see some poor bastard's bass boat high and dry, some 30 feet from water. It had ran ashore on Grass Island into rocks. It was sitting at about a 45 degree list almost like it was displayed for sale. No one around and gone by 0900 hrs when I came back by. I picked up 4 nice fish on lures including a Smallie. Finished limit up on bait and then back to watch US get Stuffed by Euopeans in Ryder Cup.

Sure, Get on water early by 0600 or so. I use Windsor Beach. Try Chrome Black or Blue Rattletraps. Work the points and look for shad/strippers working surface. Swith to bait if you really want to catch fish. Fish the old river bed around trees. Chop and use lots of anchovie chum to get them going and stay active. Good luck.

stop in at site six before light and there are shad all over use cast nets or drop nets. once caught add a small amount of water softening salt to the bait tank and they will live longer I use a small handfull for ten gallons of water. cruse around until u mark lots of fish then fly line them. When u run out of shad cast swimbaits of Bass assasins with a green tail swich up the presentation from a slow retrieve to fast to see what they they like. then rip some lips gool luck. there are lots of fish out there but they are starting to head up stream to spawn so you might want to start at windsor and head up river from there let us know how you do
