E. Sierra's

My dad his friend and I left early Sat. morning and rode up to Big Pine Creek for a big fat goose egg. We then headed up to the June Lake loop and fished Rush Creek in the afternoon for 2 (my dad 1 and I got 1) Rainbows around 12" and a shit load of mesquito bites. There was way to many people up there so the fishing was slow. We didn't get any pictures of the 2 rainbows but did get a couple of the creek.

Sunday we woke up and headed to the Walker and the Carson River. We got to the Walker River and we got 3 more Rainbows (my dad 1 and his buddy 2) around the 10-11" range. So off to the Carson River we go. We hit about 5 spots along the Carson but couldn't get anything but a little over heated. So we decided to head up to Woodfords and check into the hotel.

Monday we rode up to Lake Tahoe for a little gambling then rode back to the hotel.

Tuesday we decided to hit the Walker River up again on our way to the Sonora Pass. We hit up one of the holes we tried on Sunday and it went nuts. Here's a couple of the fish we pulled out.

This is me with the 1st Brown...

2nd Brown...

I got a Rainbow a little bigger then the 2nd brown but we didn't get a picture of it. I decided to take a break and finally got my dad over to my spot and he pulled this really nice Brown out...

He decided to try up river a little so I thought what the heck let's see if there's another 1 in there and sure enough there was this guy...

My dad's buddy was on the other side of the hole and he pulled out about 7 Rainbows around this size and a little bigger....

The fish stopped biting so we decided to try Pickle Meadow but there was way to many people fishing there so we decided to do the ride we had planned for the afternoon. We rode over Sonora Pass then down to Yosemite then rode over Tioga Pass back to the June Lake loop where we stayed at the June Lake Hotel again.

Wednesday we rode home. My 1st motorcycle trip and we road over 1,300 miles. Damn my ass was hurting on the way home. All in all it was a fun trip and we couldn't have asked for better weather.

Re: E. Sierra's

Thank you.

What trips me out is last time I heard they haven't stocked browns up there since the 40's but I saw a stocking truck dumping browns in. Anyone know more about this?

Re: E. Sierra's

Hey I know that exact spot. I'll keep my mouth shut but it's no secret. Right next to (or under) the highway.
