Lower owens and p.v.r.3-14/15

I'll keep it short, fished the owens, between warm springs and collins, all fish caught on bright colored minijigs.(yellow-orange,pink,yellow w/ flake)
alot of that, lead to alot of these...
Taylor (salas 7x) gets a couple nicer ones
the next day we hit p.v.r. and made the pics count , (did anybody know there were perch in there?....smitty?)First brown of the trip by yours truely.....(not a great pic)followed by our 2 best fish of the trip..andgreat time as always. also met up w/ my father in-law who lives in Big Pine, surprised him on his b-day and he came up and met us for a few hours.Must be nice to be able to fish that area and be back home in less than an hour uh......Brian

Sacramento Perch.....when I was a kid and when we used to fish Crowley, we'd catch a hell of a lot of those along with trout.

You're killin me dude!!! Great report & pics, glad to see you got into some fish! I still have yet to catch a brown that nice this year or a sac perch, you da man!

And yes, I knew there were perch in PVR...fishing is pretty good for them in the summer, or so I've heard.

Re: Lower owens and p.v.r.3-14/15

Thanks for the responses guys,we had a great time.As for snow, there was none, I thought there would be though...(deck boots )but nope.It actually was about 50 degrees most of the two days we were there.Hey smity, that brown was by far the best catch for me that trip.It gave a good fight on 2lb.Taylor pulled that nice one out of the river and it was pissed, went staight uphill and wore itself out.It took a while for him to swim off , but he made it, as did the rest.We may be back up there this weekend also,I'll let you know for sure though.
