Just got back in, its Monday evning, there were four of us up there, we got our limits everyday, smoked 19 trout Friday afternoon, I think we had a total of 40 fish for the trip. The weather in the Sierras was fantastic, in the 70's during the day, nites were nice, we didn't even turn the heater on at nite and it was very comfy.
The color change is now at its peak, and absolutly stunning. If you have never been up there this time of year, you got to see it to believe it. I'll try to get some pic's developed in the next couple of days.
Had one incident, we were bringing one of the boats back to the cabin, loaded the boat at the ramp, I asked my buddy Rich at least three times if he made sure if he had the lock deal on the front crank thing and he assured me he had secured everything, I drove from the ramp up to the cabin, went up the steep driveway to get to the cabin and I feel this rumble and the SUV is rocking, next I look at the mirror, and the boat is on the ground (totaly off the trailer) we had to take the 10 hp Honda and the trolling motor off, then had to unload everything and carry everything up to the garage to make the boat lite enough to lift up and put it back on the trailer. If you knew my buddy Rich, it was totally understandable, anything can happen with him. At least we got back home and had a good trip.
Luckely, it was Rich M's boat and not mine, we took mine up the day before and got it all ready for the winter, motor off and in the garage, turned it up side down and put it on top of the trailer, thanks for the help from another Rich (Purple Haze). Now it can snow all it wants to.
How would you like to be in a cabin for three or four days with three guys named Rich, and your the only Gary, shit happpens!!
