just thought id throw this up here incase anyone was heading out. All the trout are stacked up against the damn and they are pretty easy to get with power bait. Threw everything except power bait which i refuse to use and i didnt get a single fish. They are boiling all over the end of the lake.
:ranton:
Fucking dip shits. There were two guys on the lake today fishing with everyone else and there seemed to be an abundant amount of fish where they were. so headed over (not invading their space) to see whats up as soon as i get close they book for a diff spot. wtf? ok ill take these fish.... when they move the fish dont show anymore and where they moved to the fish are going crazy. WTF. look in the water and there it was a plastic bag. And distinctively one that the pellets that they feed the fish with in the hatchery. Take the bag out and there are a few there. As you probably would have figured out by now they were chumming with trout food. I honestly believe we would and everyone would have had a more successful day on the water if not most of the fish were around this one boat. fuck them almost told the biologist but i figured as long as their not hurting the fish it wasnt worth it. sorry for the rant...
Yeah, well, it doesn't hurt the fish but it hurts you and it's against the rules. If you don't want to board and storm at least turn 'em in.
I use the Ospreys as spotters. Where they're diving is where I head for with a ready Kastmaster!
You could probably get away with throwing some pea gravel. It'll sound to the fish like fish food pellets hitting the water so they'll come a runnin' but you aren't putting any 'real' chum in the lake.
threw the yak in LMV last night, no love on the Hudd or the Slammer for the fat girls but managed a couple of trout in Finnesterra cove on the mini jig- gotta agree with not wanting to throw the powerbait, if I need glitter on me I'll go to the nudie bar- Where did those guys get hatchery food? I would guess cat food would be the same squirrel & opossum assholes and lips packaged into a little chunk that they feed the dumbass trout anyway-
