me and matt(you have prolly seen him in WON. he is in there every damn week) hit hesperia yesterday. my alarm never yet off so we werent able to start fishing until around 9. did looks like we missed much as there werent very many fish on stringers. well we started out at the drain, and matt picks up a fish about 15 minutes into the day on a split shotted fighting frog lip ripperz. no bites for a while so i decided to go check out the inlet. well i get down there and first cast i get short bit. so i make some more cats and i pick up a fish. i call matt and he comes down to the inlet. as matt walked up i nail another one, both on the new orange mini ripperz. once matt got there we only had a couple short bites, so we headed back to the drain area. after about 20 minutes i get bit big time on the new orange mini ripperz. the fish came up and swirled right away and we knew i had a BIG fish on. i got the fish up to almost net range 4 or 5 times, but every time he would take off on another run. finally the fish busted me off
. i was bummed big time. well after that we walked around the lake jigging, and i ended up with 7 and matt ended up with 9. best jig for me was the new orange mini ripperz, and matt's was a banana split lip ripperz. overall it was a good day.
