June lake report

hey everyone thanks for the advise but i was talking to a guy that was camping by us and he claimed that it was the worse year up there in the June lake loop since '82 for fishing. so we got there wednesday night and caught two fish in about 2 hours. fished all day thursday and not one fish so we went to twin lakes Mamoth on friday morning and didnt catch nothing in the morning so we tried all the other lakes up there and one fish at george lake. later on that evening i had a feeling that there were some big fish in twin lakes and so that evening we went back to twin lakes and we had caught a couple of little stockers but we threw them back cuz we didnt feel like cleaning them. then a big black bear came and ate the guys fish who was next to us and started snoopin around our spot, didnt find anything and took off. so we started fishing again and my brother hooked up on something big. after a few moments of struggling with the two pound leader he finally got the 4lb 2oz fish in and i netted it. score!!!! so we left before the bears showed up again. the next day we went back and caught a bunch more fish and dept them all. including a two and a half pounder. We had to leave that night though so at least we gotisome real fish before we left.

P.S.: every fish was caught on chartreuse powerbait

Re: June lake report

Nice report. Yeah with the big increase in people going up there over the past couple years it's getting way over fished now. Which sucks cause I love fishing up there.
