Lake Michigan 7/30 - 8/6

late report for last week. family reunion at resort on north end of green bay peninsula of wisconsin, place called Rowley's Bay off of lake michigan. just so happened to be right on bay, so we had to bring rods. great setup, guest home right on bay, fishing dock/tackle store on one side, fishing pier on the other. fishing for smallmouth bass and yellow perch was very good. did'nt want artificials, nightcrawlers worked well. lots of fun on ultra light spin with #4 mono. salmon fishing outside bay also good, saw charter guys come in with nice catch every time. we stuck local and fished the bass. weather was great, what a beautiful place, very different from here. commercial guy had his boat docked @ fishing pier. drove out on pier, jumped out of truck, fired up boat and took off, leaving keys in truck. was great to visit with mom's family. all in all great family vacation.
pictures: my first ever smallmouth, a yellow perch, the ostrich farm/zoo on washington island via ferry.
