Had an hour or so to kill tonight so Jeffzou and I went over to LNL to see if the bass would bite. I live about 10 minutes away and haven't ever fished this lake for bass, only trout with the kids.
Been a long, long time since I have shore fished. It was a beautiful, warm summer evening. Tied on a Rico popper and chucked it a few times. Picked up one small LMB. Jeff hooked a couple on the plastic and one more for me on the Rico. Far from any kind of top water bite.
A very relaxing evening, no boat to clean, no fish to clean, nothing to wash down (well, except my shoes for stepping in the reeds!). Its a nice little lake; we will definitely try it again.
Fishing is awesome.
