San V Catfish 2/12

I heard the catfish action was good at San V so i headed over and was on the water by 3:45. We anchored over on the bouy line and droped them in. We fished till about 5:20 and ended up with a 13 pounder, an 8 and a six. We had to keep the 13 cuz it swallowed the hook. Back at the docks we saw the guy who was fishing down the bouy line and we took a look at what he had. He caught one that was huge. He weighed it and it came out to be 74 pounds! He got it on a whole mack with a 10/0 hook and with 25 pound test. He let the big blue go just after he took a few pictues. That thing was the largest cat i have seen in real life except the 101 pounder at the Fred Haul Show a few years back.

San V 2-12

that's killer, I fished the bass at San V yesterday, it rained just a bit- stupid weatherman, it fricking poured all day, but the bass were chewing, not great but workable- shallow fish in the mud and fish chewing in 20-35' in the clear areas- couldn't get them to eat the Hudd but got some on the DD-22 in the mud and the worm- wish I would have stuck around to see that cat weighed in, very nice!! Saw you guys by the buoy line when we pulled out around 4- Water was pouring into the lake in Barona and Kimball- just my guess, the lake came up during the day.

Hey guy's...

Here's a stupid question... Where is San V lake!?! I need to get my girls out on the water when it warms up. We normally head to Calaverious, but I'd like to get out on some new water.
