I got my dad to agree to get up early on a Sunday to go fishing with me, and I drug him out to Apple Valley for some trout fishing. Apparently, others had the same idea. A lot more people at the lake this morning. The fishing wasn't as good as other days, but anyone could have enjoyed being out on the lake this morning, it was beautiful. I snapped a couple of photos of the lake at about 8am, one of some nut flyin' over us in an ultralight, a couple of fish photos, and my Dad with his biggest trout of the day. There was no bite on spinners or spoons, and no bite on micro-jigs to speak of. They ate the worm, but not steady. Bait fishermen seemed to have the best success. Today was my day to farm. Either I wasn't getting a good hookset, or I was setting the hook too hard for 2# and snappin' 'em off. Go figure.
