Eagle lake

Made the annual run north for trout. water level was the lowest anyone could recall. They were rebuilding the launch ramp and putting in a new paved parking area with hadicap access. Launch area was moved north a bit and there was a mud bar at the entrance, 1.5 foot water. made it interesring getting in & out. Helped a couple off the mud bar & onto the trailer after their new boat lost forward gear.
Fishing was fair, I managed to get 6 fish for four days fishing. 2 fish limit per day, one went 3lb 4 oz. the rest ran 2 -2.5 lbs.
Lost one day of fishing due to water pump impeller going out. Pumping fine at high RPM but barely a trickle at trolling RPM. Motor overheated and I was faced with a 3.5 mi paddle back to the dock. Couldn't raise my fishing partners on the radio they switched channels and didn't notice it.
About 3 miles from the dock a boat offered me a tow. I took it , thanks guys.
Pulled the boat , got a replacement impeller from local repair shop and had the boat back in the water that afternoon.
Only one pic that Shelly took when I got home as I lost my camera overboard.

Moved up the Shasta Lake and fished it one day. First time on that lake. Fished the Sacramento river arm from Sugarloaf to the dam for 10 bass and 1 small rainbow.

Excellent report Don. Was that the digital camera that you had on Irene Sea that went into the lake up there? If so, man that sucks.

If it was the only thing left, I'd fish out of my bath tub.

If things get real slow I can always have Shelly clean my pool and stock it with bass.
