Sorry I can't give out #'s for this spot. Or disclose it's location.
After a full days of work on Saturday I came home to these two booger eaters. Nino on left and Ryan on right. Nino is Nancy's best friends kid and Ryan is going to be my nephew.
They had both never been fishing and have been begging me for 6 months now. This was their birthday present.
I gave them a quick 2hr rundown on how to use the gear and had them put on new line.
I was thrilled.
So with the night being so late we crashed out until 4am came along and it was time for the little B.O. Brats to wake up. Obviously beauty sleep is a hoax.
We took a little 2hr drive to my buddies house and quickly got on the pond.
Ryan trying to figure out what he wanted to use for bait. Yeah right like I was going to let him throw a $5 rapala with trees overhead and him never casting before...
James (Joes oldest that we know of) hooked up first.
Then again. We all thought the pond was rigged.
Ryan got his first fish.
Then Joe hooks up and hands it to Tyler his youngest. It was probably a catfish. Lost due to 6lb test with a kid pulling on it.
And Ryan gets his second fish.
Joe hooks up again and hands it off to Nino. It was a bass that the hook pulled at pondside.
Then Joe hooks up again.
And another one of Joes fish that he handed off to Ryan
Joe again, sit down style. Hands it off to Tyler again. Lost and never saw it.
Ryan gets another one.
And finally I get a bite! Hand it off to Ryan. Catfish.
Then I catch a turtle.
The sprinklers decided that the area didn't have enough water so we got soaked at first. Then we got soaked some more by punkass Nino.
Joe and I decided it was time to move... We let the kids run off so we could get some fish on our own without having to tie leaders, jigs, worms, take out tangles, get line out of trees, etc... It lasted about 10min and we didn't catch anything until the kids came back. They were across the otherside and doing just fine catching fish...
James came back and hooked up down by the toolies. Called me over for a picture.
And this is one of the many exploded tangles underneath the spool I had to deal with.
Joe with a mutant mouth bass.
Joe hooked up again. BTW I handn't had a fish in over 2hrs.I was a little irritated and didn't take a picture of him holding the fish.
Well Joe hooks up again and hands it to Nino.
Damnit Joe again.
And again.
While he was dealing with that cat the sprinklers decided they would come on again. Notice kids scattering.
Soon after Joe hooks up again.
And again, hands it off to Nino.
And again, hands it off to Tyler.
Ryan catches another turtle.
And I am dealing with more of these types of tangles.
Joe hooked up AGAIN!
Well guess what. He can't handle just one so he hooks up on TWO! I refused to help him. He turned to me and said "are you ever going to catch one of these?"
So his kid Tyler took over. Joe lost his but Tyler landed his.
And I deal with another one of these...
While Joe hands another one to Tyler.
Joe once again! I really got schooled HARD. F that freshwater crap.
The only other people around were 3 college girls that would cheer everytime JOE caught a fish. We asked them to flash every time but they said no thanks.
Sooo we packed it up once we ran out of HOTDOGS for bait.
I think the Kids had fun.
All fish were C&R. I'm sure it was fun for all the kids and Joe.

Thanks Joe we'll do it again.
