It's springtime in So Cal!! What's in your garden?

I've been doing some planting over the last few week, mostly herbs, peppers and tomatos:

cilantro
italian and curled parsley
chives
oregano
thyme
dill
basil
texas tarragon
savory

green and yellow bell peppers
jalapenos
serranos

cherry tomatos
roma tomatos
round tomatos

Plus I have a rosemary bush that is 2 years old and growing like a weed and a sage bush that dies back to the ground every winter and then comes back from the dead and grows up 2-3' every year

It's been years since I had a full herb garden but I really miss having fresh herbs so it's time.

Can't wait for some fresh garden salsa and some fresh garden pesto.

Anyone else digging in the dirt yet?

I'm too lazy to weed the garden, so I use pots on the back patio with a drip system. I just put some habeneros in , and many of the other things you listed.

It's funny that you say that. I went to the bookstore to pickup a few specific gardening books and they didn't have any of them in stock.

Of course, they had 50 titles in stock on how to grow weed....

I have a large rosemary bush in another flowerbed. I just pruned a large book box full and put it on the front curb as freebie for the drive bys and no takers

I also have a well established sage bush that drops all its leaves every winter and I prune it back to the ground. Come spring, it goes crazy again and grows 2-3'. It's already come up about 1' tall in a nice mound from all the rain.

I just put in some habanero's and cayenne yesterday and have a poblano/ancho plant to find a home for. Hopefully it will be a good chili harvest

BTW, anyone know where to buy real French Tarragon cuttings/seedlings? I'd really like to get some French Tarragon in as well as the Mex Tarragon that I planted.
