I know about canning Albicore and Ahi, My question is can I can Yellowtail? And if so does anyone have a receipt?

Thanks

Yellow tail is awesome canned. Jam it in a jar and throw it in the p-cooker. Directions should be with the pot. Dude have the wife call Christine if she needs to, she's got that shit wired.

Ok, the wife has finished her first 2 bathch's.. Man this canning shit sure wipes out the fish supplies quick!!!

Now we have 3 albacore, 2 Yellow Fin Tuna 2 Yellowtail and 3 BET. Most plain but some with jalapeno and 2 with lemon pepper.

Have not tried it yet, but I'm buying her some 4 oz jars... those 7 oz sure take alot of fish.

Kinda cool tho..

I tried canning some Yellowtail this year doing it the same as for albacore (water & 1/3 tsp salt on top). It turned out okay but can't compare to the alby. Not sure if I'd do Yellowtail again.

Maybe someone has a better recipe.

Hey John, I agree... the Yellowtail taste way to strong for our likeing.

We'll stick to the tunas. Yellow Fin Tuna is my favorite so far... but the BET was good also.

Have tried with terriyaki, Lemon pepper, jalapeno and bay leaf..

Good stuff for sure!
