oh yeah that sounds good. i've been doing the egg trick for awhile...good stuff. i've been frying it though. poaching it sounds good.
seriously do yourself a favor and find yourself some mi goreng. i havent found it in LA but had to go down to seafood city in sandiego and stocked up on it. it comes with 5 seasoning packets. peanut oil, chili powder, bumbu seasoning(whatever that is), a sweet soy sauce and fried onions. this is a dry ramen, so there is no soupy stuff, but you top it off with an egg and some garlic/onion fried shrimp and its da bomb!

for the single hungry person.....
1 top ramen our your flavor
1 cup of your favorite frozen veggies ( I use either mixed or peas n carrots )
1 egg
1 slice kraft american cheese
Boil the water with the frozen veggies, add noodles and flavor pack till done, crack the egg into the pot and stir it up reall good. remove from heat and toss in a slice of cheese. stir it a bit more and pour into a bowl and eat !
total cost depends on how much you buy, but on average about 79 cents a meal and it's tasty !

I like to get around 20 packets and dump it all in a hefty bag, then go to the head and fill it with hot ass tap water. Then mix it up a little and hang it off my bunk.Once it's "ramen" i cut it open using the bag as a tray and spread it all out. That's when it's gets interesting, everyone throws in their own addition, mix it up again and serve.
The "spread"
Get some........

Four packets of Ramen noodles.
Ditch the flavor packs.
Get em' soft but not too soft.
Strain the water.
Add a splash of soy sauce, a dollop of lemon pepper, a sprinkle of chili powder, some Rooster sauce...
Then add White Sea Bass cubes, some diced lobster, and seared scallops...Toss that shit up like a Hail Mary and inhale it til' you nearly shit yourself...toss an egg in there too you freak...I love it...SICK
