Killer Shrimp

his one gets tore up by everyone that gets it put in front of their face. Great for super bowl...... Hopefully if I can get down there this fri....great with Tommy's shrimp.

2 tablespoons dried rosemary
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon black pepper
5 cloves garlic, peeled and mashed or chopped your choice
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon crushed rep pepper flakes ( these go a loooong way, sp start with maybe 1/2 this amount if you don't like hot)
2 quarts low-sodium chicken broth
8 ounces clam juice
3 ounces tomato paste
1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter ( gotta be butter not margerin)
1 cup white wine
1 1/2 pounds raw peeled shrimp with tails
French bread (for dipping)

Partially break up the rosemary, thyme, and fennel seed with a mortar and pestle ( I use the back of a spoon and a plate)

Place all ingredients, except wine and shrimp, in a large pot. Simmer for about 30 minutes, than add the wine. Continue to simmer for a total cooking time of no more than 2 hours.

Just before serving, add raw shrimp. Simmer until shrimp are done, stirring, about 5 minutes.

Each bowl should contain a serving of shrimp and alot of broth that should completely cover the shrimp. No silverware necessory, soak the broth up with pieces of the warmed bread.

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrump is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrump-kabobs, shrump creole, shrump gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrump, lemon shrump, coconut shrump, pepper shrump, shrump soup, shrump stew, shrump salad, shrump and potatoes, shrump burger, shrump sandwich. That- that's about it.
