Any Good Swordfish recipes?

The local ralphs has it on sale and thinking about going down and picking up a few pounds. Wondered if anyone had any good recipes. Prefer to bake or broil it. I was going to do the soy sauce and garlic thing, but wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions?

Season it with blackening spices in a skillet or toss it on the BarBQue. It will taste like steak..

My friend Kenji usto cut it into 1x4 little pieces and throw them into beer batter and aquick fry in canola till golden. Soy garlic ginger tarter sauce. He would do that when we took him some tuna from a trip. Been a long time.

Re: Any Good Swordfish recipes?

Rub some olive oil on it and sprinkle Ono salt (seasoned sea salt) on it and broil... I know this sounds complicated but...

Re: Any Good Swordfish recipes?

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to try each one except for maybe the frying. Cant batter anything too many carbs, but I will cook it up for a few friends.

Pretty hard to fuck up swordfish unless you over-cook it.

Re: Any Good Swordfish recipes?

quick, simple and tasty....... Marinate in italian salad dressing for a bit and onto the grill, or a nice Roasted Mango Chipotle Sauce and grill or broil
Dayum tasty ! or perhaps an olive oil, crushed garlic and some rosemary and on the grill

Re: Any Good Swordfish recipes?

What Karl said, simple and very tasty that also works for Mako and Thresher steaks too.

Just be careful with that Rosemary a little of it goes a long way.

Re: Any Good Swordfish recipes?

Use this recipe only if your not worried about a heart attack. Fresh thawed swoardfish steak 1" - 1 1/2" thick. Get a bunch of paper towels and wrap the steaks inside. set the bundle on a towel and place a thick phone book on top. This is to get all the moisture out of the fish. No, this is not a joke! Let it set for about an hour or so. Next get a cube of butter and nuke it until melted. let it cool down a bit. Finally unwrap the swoardfish steaks and smother them with the melted butter. It will soak it up like a sponge. Now take the steaks and place them in the frige until your ready to cook. I like grilling the best with a little garlic and pepper only. Cook until desired doneness ( Is that a word? ) when you finally cut into one of these babies the butter will just run out of it. MMMMMMM
