I've had some good steaks out here, though my favorite was at Texas Lill's in old town Temecula. As opposed to other Texas themed restraunts I've been to out here, they had the right idea. If I'm just looking for a chain restraunt, hell, Claim Jumpers or even Chilli's will do just fine.

If your in the South Bay, the "San Franciscan" in Torrance is the best place to get a steak.

Not quite related, but my favorite is to go to a place called Iowa Meat Farms, on Mission Gorge, buy 2-3 lbs of aged 30 day, grade AAAAAA, rib eye (not cheap, about 1" - 1-1/4" thick). Sprinkle with a little Lawry's on each side (do not marinade this stuff and ruin it), toss on grill for 3 minutes each side (med rare), and enjoy in the comfort of your patio with lots of cheap cold ones, preferably while watching a ballgame. Now I'm hungry.

My favorite would be the Boathouse 1887 in Coronado. It's right across from the hotel del in the old chart house building. They serve up a mean Jack Daniels New York, and great prime rib. The service is great, they actually know their shit when it comes to the food and the wine. The atmosphere is great for the ladies. If you can't get a water front table. The bar has the best seat in the house. There seafood also kicks ass. Their ginger blackened ahi and macadamia nut halibut are unreal. Plates are $20-50.
