LAWRYS IN BEVERLY HILLS YOU WILL NEED ABOUT 100.00 PER PERSON BUT THE PRIME RIB IS KILLER . YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED.
I'll agree with Lawrys. Tony from Lawrys is one of few family members left within the company used to sponsor my dad and I. Gave us all kinds of cooking shit!!
Great timing on this thread, wife's b-day is Wed. We went to Rainwater's earlier this month, wasn't real impressed. Donovan's is my favorite of the "over-priced" popular restaurants. (Ruth's chris, donovans, LG's, etc.)
I was thinking of going to Island Prime on Harbour Island this wed.
Flemmings in UTC/La Jolla is cool but $$$ The Butcher shop in Kearny Mesa USED to be cool till it sold years back. Used to get buy backs at the bar and the regular cut prime rib was twice the size and you got a bowl of soup instead of a cup. Corprate sucks. Some of the locals say the one in Chula Vista is still old school.
Flemmings, J.J. Steakhouse in Pasadena, Dal Rey in Pico Rivera, Windows in Downtown LA, Top of Five in Downtown LA Westin Bonaventure Hotel....
All very excellent restaurants.... but be ready to pay the price...
