Anyone know how to make that white sauce they put in fish tacos at places like 7 Mares or Taco Nazo? I wanna make my own, but can't figure it out.

Re: Secret sauce?

I use the brigantine recipe.

Sour Cream
Milk
A little ranch dip seasoning
Lime
Garlic

It works awesome on fish and regular tacos.

Re: Secret sauce?

I was told Rubios white sauce was 1/2 plain yogurt, 1/2 mayo and thinned with water. I add a little tapatio or cholula to mine.

Re: Secret sauce?

Rubio's sucks ass. I never understood why people liked their fish tacos so much. I had some awesome fish tacos in Ensenada back in February that were as close to home made as possible. If the locals eat there, you know you're in good hands.

The best kind of fish tacos or any other food for that matter are the kinds you make yourself!

Stick to your crayons art boy.

RUBIOS RULES!

I love mex tacos and Rubios. All good stuff.

Leave the eating to the fat people.

Re: Secret sauce?

Hah, no.

Rubios is average...there's much better Mexican food in SD to be eaten. But, people have their likes and dislikes. If you want to eat a bit healthier, then Rubios is a good bet.

Speaking of people that can't cook, I once went out with one chick who tried to make me microwaved corndogs for a "good dinner" and it dumbfounded me to no end. I had to go to the store, get ingredients and make spagehtti sauce(no, not that canned Ragu pos), garlic bread(baked in the oven with a bit of butter and rubbed with garlic) and I would have made spaghetti noodles, but she didn't have a pasta maker...haha.

How do you know I'm not fat?
