Need a clue on setup, rod, reel, line, leader etc. to flyfish the surf for corbina and croaker. I go to the sierra's every late summer/fall and flyfish, Ive got the fresh water thing down. I fish the surf all summer long and would really like to try flyfishing it. Anybody got any helpful suggestions??

Damn, I have been doing this over forty years and still do not have it down.
I use a 7 wt.WFST with a long ass flourocarbon leader (sinks well) to catch corbina and barred perch.
A 15/16 wt. rod is what I use for albies, but that does not have anything to do with your question.
Good luck in the surf--it is a lot of fun.
