I will second that. It is worse than crack cocaine.
I now have 32 fly rods and reels, from 2wt. to 15/16 wt.--and I dont event know how to use them!
You might be able to get by with one setup for both. I still use a 9 ft seven weight for fishing big streamers for trout, and in the surf for barred perch and corbina. I also used it in Belize for bonefish. I do, however use a different reel in the salt, but you could have a lot of fun with a good used 6 or 7 weight rod and reel setup.
