New Denny Rickards Pattern

Okay, Here is the new Denny Rickards Fly. It is on a streamer hook this one looks like about a #4. And of course the 20 wraps of .20 lead by eye.
I am seeing a RUSTY marabou for the tail, Then BROWN marabou wrapped around hook, then a wing sort of. Then this process is repeated a second time. Looks like 4 or 6 strands of Pearl Flashabou is tied in here at the sides.
Then is is a chenille, looks like Root beer, but I guess any matching color sparkle Chenille. Soft Hackle collar, this could be Partridge. He said long is good and BUSHY.
I am thinking a Black/Burnt Orange in addition to this brown. Plus Olive, and Black. In the Fall I am thinking YELLOW and BROWN or RED mix.

Right on Denny, this is going to be killer!

Anybody see anything different or something I missed?

Way ahead of you E. Tied a couple of BLACK ones to try at the pond. Needed a break from the FLY SWAP flies. Looking at the same flies 12 X and then I am in THREE swaps!

BRUCE! BABY, good to hear from you.
To be honest, I forgot all about this fly this year. Lynn came up with his answer to the Gartside Softhackle and that thing is killer so, that is what I have been tying up and using. I call it the SCOTTINATOR!

When you gonna try Strawberry with us?

Well, I know that there are some versions of the stillwater bug that have been catching fish. Last night I tied up a grip of them to give a go tomorrow, hopefully this weather won't turn them off too much. It's been good up there to say the least.

So what is up with the Scottinator? I have heard stories of this hot new fly, but have yet to see it. Do you have a picture? It sounded to me(if we are talking of the same fly) like a version of the Jansen leech.

Strawberry is definatly on the list, but I have to tell you. Its going to take more than a crow-bar to pry me away from this place anytime soon.
