I have no idea if that window works for the spawn or not but I think it's gotta be close. We can keep an eye on the spring thaw and if things work out maybe we could get a day on the private pond. The big fish moslty died last summer in the long hot spell but its full of 16-21" kamloops. Easy fishing...no tubes or toons needed. Just a floating line, indicators, and whatever flies you want to tie on.
If you and Bruce are interested I'll keep an eye on it starting mid-March. It has several aerators so can ice out pretty early depending on how the weather goes.
And if not I'd still like to get together and maybe join in on the spawn for a day or have dinner and beers.
Are you saying most fish died last year at Henry's. Our families yearly guys fishing trip was steering towards a week at Henry's. Wanted to catch that lunker that followed my panther martin back to the boat in '89. Been 18 years already, but pops and I will net forget that one fish. Huge. That place is killer.

They spawn the fish every year - Not because they died off or anything
This is going to be a huge trip for us. The Idaho Fish & Game work so hard to take care of what they have. It is a real honor to be able to go up there and work with them.
Damon said he'd have some pictures for you later today. It's a blizzard here right now. Snowing and wind is 20-30 with gusts to 40 mph. Couple of local highways are closed.
bajario<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_615981", true); </SCRIPT> , the HUGE Cutt up there do have a life expectancy of 3 to 4 years. Estimated guess, but they don't live that long. In fact the 34" I caught last year probably didn't make it through the winter (even if I hadn't caught it)
I also learned that the stren of cutt up there are not meat eaters (so to speak) The ones they do harvest did not have fish in them, so the Brookies are in charge of the chub.
