Montanna/Idaho?????

As fate would have it, the wife will pick me up in Vegas this Friday morning as my flight arrives from NYC and we continue on up the 15 with final destination of Missoula. We're picking up our new puppy, a male black and white field bred English Springer, in a town just west of Missoula. We had lost our beloved trout dog Cleo, black and white bench English Springer, last September to lymphoma and it was now time for a new one. Well, one will not be enough as my wife has a deposit on a black and white female bench English Springer which is scheduled to be born later this month. That one we'll pick up in Spokan in December. Eventually, we'll breed a litter or two as my wife just loves having little ones around.

Anyhoo, we have a few days up in the area and am looking for suggestions for flyfishing. Should I consider Henry's Fork?

Re: Montanna/Idaho?????

If your going through Victor Idaho, check on Reel Women Fly fishing, there guides in that area and fish Wyoming, Idaho and Montana areas, Snake River and Henery's Fork, I've fished with them and they are a great great group of people.

Hope it works : Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures / Outfitters

I agree with Mot. Lori Ann and the gang are REAL reel women. Up in that neck of the woods, any of the vast variety of fly shops will put you in the right direction. That is after all....Fishing and hunting country.

Henry's fork is a great river and is fairly easy to fish you can wade the whole river. It opens june 15th I think?

Re: Montanna/Idaho?????

Check out the Clark Fork River that flows right through town or you can float it w/guide.(Throwing streamers this time of year will get you some big boys) The Bitteroot River behind the Hospital is a good bet too. Also, if you go up the Blackfoot River about 30 -45 minutes out of Missoula you will get into some good fishing. Check in with the Kingfisher Fly shop or the Missoulian Angler and they will set you straight.
