Eastern Sierra Good Ol' Boys 2009 (Pic Heavy)

Every October, I get the chance to take a trip to Mammoth to take part in the Good Ol' Boys trout tournament. My brother and I are the yougest in the bunch by many years, but it is pretty cool thing to take part in.

My dad, brother and I release all of our fish, so we willnever place in the tournament, but it is the one trip i look forward to every year. Since i only got a chance to do 2 sierra trips this season, this week was especially fun.

I'll keep it brief and load the thread up with pictures.

Fished Crowley, Mary, Upper Twin, Grant, Little Virginia, and Big Virginia. While then numbers weren't there like years past, the quality of the fish was pretty good. We also cut, split, and stacked 2 1/2 cords of firewood. Enough to heat the cabin for many trips to come. I'll be happy to put up more details per request. Enjoy.

Quality looking fish. Looks like you did a lot of work up there in addition to fishin'.

So were you guys up at Crowley just this last weekend?

I was up in North end and saw a ton of Good Ol' Boys on Saturday and maybe a half ton on Sunday. Saw some nice fish get caught. Looks like you got in on some of them.

Nice!!!! Glad to see the action picking up. Our trips were clogged out with the algae.

Ya... that was our GOB group. Didnt sound like anyone found the numbers, but definitely some quality sized fish.

It's made by US Truck Tent (US Truck Tent). The thing is a beast, but steel frame constructed and withstands highway speeds no problem. At one point, we had 5 tubes in it
