Yellowfin are a bitin'
Headed out of Shelter Island over Labor Day weekend spotting kelps and trolling between stops offshore. Traveled about 60 miles to escape the holiday weekend boat traffic and get some water to ourselves. Stopped on quite a few kelps holding a mix of do-do's, tuna, and yellows. The tuna were willing to eat the fly stripped back to the boat on a 400 gr. sinking head.
