I got my flies in time for my birthday fishing trip at Catalina Week after next. Capt. G. has helped me with tons of advice on what gear to get and techniques to use with so. cal fly fishing. I am starting to get it down a little. so far, on my own (store bought) clouser minnows and lefty's decievers, I have only caught Mackerel, but catching a big fat mackerel on light fly gear is about the funnest way I could think of to make bait on a private boat. I cant wait to try these new flies out at catalina on august 14-17.
