| CARPIN'
I was able to get out and do my favorite kind of fishing over the weekend. Carp on the fly! It was a blast, my uncle and I were wading a huge flat that was no deeper then 8-12 inches and the fish were stacked! Nothing under eight pounds, most were around ten and then this monster. Its awesome to have a freshwater fish that will take you into your backing... multiple times! Used an assortment of buggers, damsels, scuds etc......

I have tried for grass carp as well and have only caught a handful since I started fly fishing for them forever ago. I have read that they will take small grubs and small nymph patterns once in and a while, but for the most part they eat only plants and other floating things. So maybe just lob out a huge clump of moss...lol
