Here is a standard day right now. Sorry I havn't been posting, but today was the first I had the camera with me.
Started off getting to the river about 08:00.

Those are the Tetons in the background.
Eggs and Sausages for breakfast.
On this part of the river the fish have been taking eggs in the a.m. then switching to midges about 12:00. Most of the bigger fish have been taking the eggs, although I did get a 23" brown a couple of days ago on a red copper john(the sausage!) But today the biggest went about 18".
Next I moved up river to where some blue-wing olives have been making an afternoon showing, but alas not much was happening today,
except these a$$%0les making me jump back from the trail. I hate snakes.
here are some of the hot patterns on this stretch.
Then working my up-river I visited some "old" stomping grounds and found a killer caddis hatch coming off.
and it was game on for smaller browns and rainbows. Good action!
And the patterns that worked for me here.
It was a great day to be on the water. No extra large fish, but good variety.
SE Idaho, just a little slice of heaven.
