Rainshadow Fly rods

I heard about these rods a couple years ago and saw the build on the RCBL80M and you guys were saying some good things about them and I was curious what you guys think about their fly rod blanks. If you dont have any experience with the fly rod blanks i would still like some feed back about the blanks. Also, where are they manufactured?

overseas, taiwan. Heard good things too, but cant speak yet about the quality personally. Im planning to build some flyrods soon. I was looking at the rainshadow as well as pac bay. Ive heard good things about both. Pac Bay is made here, that attracted me a little more. Great prices on both. GUSA has stuff too at good prices. Lots of options.

Probably gonna get a lot of pursits on this board geared toward high end fly gear. For the saltwater guy like yourself, i think these will all work well for you, but they are no orvis or sage.

Might also pose this question on the rodbuilding board. Lot of guys on there use rainshadow, not all surf the fly fishing board though.

I built a rod off of the HS930 and made a spinning blank out of it, sweeeeeeet action! I have had it for about 4-5 years now and it is my absolute favorite rod! Sorry I don't have info on their blanks. From what I have been told, the parent company, batson enterprises, was started by a main designer from loomis.

I just ordered a second HS930 and will be making a casting rod this time.
