Headed out the inlet at 6 after buying some Runners and a well full of Threadfins. Head a little north and set up in 140'.
Have a bad start with two kites breaking off two separate kite rods. Reset a couple times and and caught a couple Kings and my friends little bro landed a nice 21lb Blackfin.
Reset again and see a big Hammerhead below the boat.
Move again because he is bugging us. Catch a few more Kings.
With 30 minutes to lines out, we hook into something big. 20 minutes later we work up a big shark on relatively light tackle. Line breaks right at the boat and couldn't get it any closer for a positive id.
I thought this was pretty cool. The lens of the Tuna eye.
It was a really fun and long day on the water. Sorry, this isn't one of my best reports, I'm really tired.
