Dorado and Mahi mahi are local names for the fish.
Stop being a dumb fuckhead yourself.

This one was a little under 50 pounds. Some people say it had to weight more. Used their scale they had at the pongas. The number doesn't matter to me ............thing was a blast to catch.
Curtis...........
The boat Hanna..........

However there's a good 14" between the tail fork and the top of his head and another inch or so between the fish's head and the ground. Just subtracting the 14" from his height gets you a 60" fork length and that's no where close to the 69.5" of the 87 lb All Tackle Record. I'd give him 60 lbs on that fish.

East Coast = Dolphin fish (not dolphin or porpoise)
Mexico and pacific coast = Dorado
Hawaii and Islands = Mahi Mahi
