Hoop net

I have a question about lobster fishing in Florida.

I know you can use what they call a Bully net to catch lobster.

My question is this here in California we use what we call a hoop net.
Can these be used in Forida to catch lobster?

I can't seem to find the info from FWC.

I am just courious we are concidering coming home to our grass roots and need to know if I should bring them or get rid of them.

Thanks

Hurricane

Your right. All it says is no hoop nets allowed in everglades park? Nothing about how many you are allowed to use anywhere else.
We used them years ago in Key West.
My guess,it would be no problem. They work best in deeper water where bully nets aren't practical anyway.

Hurricane, good luck down there. I just got back from Alaska doing the salmon/halibut thing. I enjoyed a few lobster "tails" a couple of days ago from my old stompin' grounds off Key West.

Capt. Louie,
I was up there for my brothers birthday a couple years back and had a blast. I used to live there when I was a kid. The fishing up there is awesome. I still have some lobster from Cali. and im waiting for the season to start over here. I will miss the 2 day short season due to having to fly back to California but i will be back on the 30th. I cant wait for the real season to start I have been check out some spots already.

If you are ever on the right coast look me up and lets go hang some Dolfin or some Yellow Fin Tuna.
