Talking Opinions on bottom machines/GPS

Hey fellas.

I recently purchased a Mako 192CC and I am in the process of fitting her with the standard battery of fish destroying electronics and gizmos. I am farely new to saltwater fishing and realize that the type of equipment I'm familiar with for use on freshwater isn't quite going to cut it.

I live on the water in Old Tampa Bay (north part of the Bay) and will be doing some inshore and offshore fishing. I'd like to find a GPS/Chart plotter/bottom machine all-in-one that works well but isn't going to require an organ donor's card to purchase it. After all, it's a new boat and I've got a lot of other stuff to buy.

(on another note, I'm also looking for a decent VHF, so if you've got an opinion on that, please let me know)

I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks.

Thanks for the input. That one's a little beyond my price range though. I'm looking for something in the $500 range. I've heard good reviews on the Eagle Fishelite 500c\540c. I'd like a Garmin, but it might have to be down the road.

I have a Furuno 3900. You can get everything off of ebay for half the price. It is usually half price of west marine and I have bought all my electronics there and have had no issues.
