Problem With Accurate 270 Pre-set

Maybe someone can help me out. I took my new 270 out for the first time yesterday. Today i'm cleaning the reel and I go to back-off on the pre-set knob and it won't budge- completely frozen. Am I doing something wrong? What's the deal?

Are you sure it is in all the way out of gear? With a lever drag I only ever put the reel in frrespool I don't back the preset knob all the way off.

make sure it's outa gear. be sure to soak it with reel-X or your favorite lube. then it may take a little coaxing if it wasn't lubed previously. you may want to get some small channelock pliers and coax it. once it's free, you will need to dis-assemble the preset and grease the "O"-ring.
