| Why does my dropper loop slip
I keep tying dropper loops.over half the time they slip. I swear I am tying them the same way every time. Any clues?

15 pound or greater line test. Even pull from both sides of the knot and restrain the loop (I use my 'eye' tooth).

Cuz it is an inferior knot. try a surgeons or spider hitch for local stuff. they are easier to tie and stronger. google it.

inferior knot ? if well tied it works great and easy to tie my 12 year old daughter can tie it and it wont slip, we have so much cofidence in that knot that we tie our floro to our main line with that knot just cut the loop off

Its a very weak knot I think something like 40% but I use it all the time can tie it in the dark while in sleeping great for quick line splice.Sometime old habits are hard to break. they dont slip they break your not tying it right.keep trying
