800 M for fishing jigs on 30lb to 40 lb and a 850 L for fishing slip sinkers and leadheads, the only two rods you need for cbass!

Got my one and only legal wsb on seeker 270h/daiwa sl30sh (#25 line) rig a few years back at rocky point (Redondo). It was a thirty-five pounder and the 270h worked great with #25 pound line.

I've been using a Calstar Grafighter 850L as my kelp cutter rod for a few years and IMHO, it's a great seabass rod that has a soft enough tip to fish straight spectra to a really short piece of fluro and enough backbone to turn a big croaker or yellow......I've been eyeballing the new Super Seeker CJBF 90F...or whatever the model # is, it's a 9 foot- 25lb stick that feels like it was made to be a kelp cutter rod.

Lately I have been fishing seabass with a Calstar Grafighter 765H, all rollers, with a Shiamno Tiagra 50 wide loaded with 100 pound and a 3 hook ganion. It's really been working for me...
