Color is WAY over rated!!! Tackle manufacturers just make more sales if you think you need..... (every color they sell) X (every lure they sell) = salesman a with a CHUBBY!

use light colors in high mid-day... dark colors in early and late, and deeper than 15ft..........

Purdy colors are for fisheremen, fish don't care as long as they can see it!
HOWEVER darker colors make better targets! That's why they all holler black-purple and Black-red...... I LIKE PINK... because, well ........you know!

I spoke to a guy doing a demo on softbaits at my local,and the basic idea i got from him was that is you look at the color water that ur fishing,that is the last color of the spectrum that will be visable,so if my favourites aren't firing I switch to some thing that matches the water color,usually a darker lure will throw a harder silhouette in low light or purple water,or Lumo when it's dark or ur jigging real deep,It's the same sorta stuff that that deep water game fishers do with thier lures
