Good example from shrek. But, when you see 500 jigs hanging from the wall, what do you think they really catch?

As long as your surface iron swims, it dosent matter what color it is. What you need to do is find some old Bartenders then you will have some swimmers.

i have some old ones with hardly any paint left and they still catch fish. i think a lures ability to kick correctly matters most. dont hold me to it but when i purchase new jigs i look for the ones with a little flat spot on the top(not rounded!) by where you tie on. also jigs being semetrical is a good start.

You're from San Diego and don't own a boat. Why not use the live bait that all the sporties have?

my favorite jig is either a birdshit 7x or my starman CANDYBAR JIGS in the brushed aluminum type color which happened from losing all the paint over the last 10 years. the jigs i posted are the favorite colors of many fishermen. the key is the kick, so if the jig swims good then the color really DOESN'T matter. colors tend to catch more fishermen then fish.

u will never go wrong with blue/white,,,no matter what. if that dont work..nothing will...chrome,,,chrome/blue killers. for yellows, i rely on dodo, sardine and scrambled egg colors. and listen up...this is the biggest secret...dont tell anybody...if u happen to be throwing jigs on a twilight trip, at around dusk and when it gets completely dark...use white...all white. best color for barries, yellows and bass. no joke, trust me on this one. so there u have it,,,oh, black/purple/white not too shabby either. gluck..and keep on casting...
