Im sure a few other's will chime in here but we use 50-65lb braid with a 2-3' topshot of 25-40 flouro tied with a Tony Pena knot.Swimbaits with weedguards, football head jigs with grubs, creature baits.Rods are heavy graphite trigger stick models, reels are Revo,Curado.Drags are buttoned down, zero pull.

X2

i use a longer topshot cause tying a uni to unit knot at night sucks if you get sawed off. lock down those drags!

matt has it right on the money. i would definitely use the tony pena knot and maybe a 2-4ft leader of 20-30lb fluro, with a curado 300 and a phenix 867 or 866l
