I have a medium-sized bait hotel purchased from Squidco. My bait pump is too loud for me to leave on at the dock while I sleep, so I use the hotel to store mackerel I catch the day before I go out. It works fairly well, but there is some mortality when I cure them for just 8 hours or so, and I suspect in MB it's due to the shallow, warm water. A neighbor tried to salvage a quarter scoop or so of sardines in a bigger hotel one night, and they were all dead by the next day. You might try in some limited quantities, but my gut says anything warmer than 70 degrees might be a challenge. My slip is about 12' deep at mean tide, and was 75.7 degrees a week ago, which was good because I had to inspect the props for fishing line.
