I've made outriggers using fiberglass painter extension poles 12' fully extended. Twist and collapes to 6' and store inside cabin.
I had three.....two outriggers and a center. They worked great and the price was right.
I had a friend thread and glass the guides and installed the roller at top.
Best set up I ever had since it all stowed nicely inside my cabin.
