hi everyone just wanted to run this by u folks. thinking of picking up 10 ft ulua and trying to decide what reel to match it with. one of my friends has a trini 40 narrow he wants to get rid of. i do own trinis and love them. any one use this reel to throw surface irons with? seems like this reel will do the job? just never played around with one yet. any info will be appriciated.thanks.
I havent chucked iron with it but I have fished the yoyo iron with it. Personally, I thought the reel was really awkward to fish. Its extremely tall and very very narrow and personally, I didnt like it at all. A Newell 533 5.5 would be a good choice too. You will really be able to chuck a jig with it.
