The owner of Pro Gear went with us on a 2 day this year and let me play with a prototype. He handled some albacore and Blue Fin Tuna up to 30# on it with very little struggle. It felt very light with a good freespool. People who like Avets might like the Oceanus.

they look and feel very nice and they are lite in weight, and 17lbs at strike and 32lbs at full, the reels Randy fished on the two day were the ones from the FHS .

Pro Gears probably tip the scales as one of the lowest maintnenance intensive reels out there. They are unbelievably simple and strong. As easy as the single speed Avets are... the Pro Gears are even easier. I can't say enough good about them.
